Q. I want a camcorder (preferably under 1,000) and I would like to know which brands work best. I know how to work electronics well so if it was hard to figure out that would not be a problem.
A. Honestly, for the price, it is hard to beat JVC cameras. They are very inexpensive and are a high quality camera. If you are looking for a pretty cheap (price wise) camera, look into Samsung, Panasonic, and JVC. These are all well known brands with a good quality and great price. Here are some to check out. My personal opinion is to go with the JVC Everio.

What is the best camcorder to capture fast motion video under $1,000?

A. The Casio exilim EX-F1 is priced with kit a few bucks over $1000. However quality is relative because you have to accept severely reduced resolution to get the high speed feature.
