thanks in advance.
A. The best web cam in the world can be had by hooking a MiniDV tape camcorder by Firewire to a IEEE1394 port in your computer. Be It laptop or tower, if your computer does not currently have a IEEE1394 port, they sell cards that can be installed to give you that port, for under about $60. Put your camcorder in record mode, but do not record anything. It can do anything a web cam can do at this point.
Is the Canon 7D good for indie film making?
Q. I read multiple things about not using dslr cameras for film making, but then there was some people that said there's an exception for the Canon 7D. I want to go into film making, also do photography on the side. Since I only have a budget of a maximum of $1,200, I can't get a camcorder and a camera that would have high movie quality, so I thought to start with, maybe the 7D would be a good choice? I saw some sample videos with some different lenses and it has amazing video quality, plus features a mic input and other good features. What do you think? Thanks for your suggestions!
A. The 7d is a good camera but I would recommend the Nikon D3200 because if your wanting to do photography it has 24 megapixels and it does 1080p video and also does 60fps at 720p. I own the camera myself and it seems perfect for an indie film. It is also in the same price range as the canon 7d I think might be lower actually. But it's your choice. Go online and compare the features and specs.
