Is it safe to record what is on a television screen with a camcorder?

Q. For example, I record video of the television screen, which is about 30 to 50 inches, using the camcorder. I am playing video games on the television screen, so I am trying to record the gameplay from a camcorder.I would like to know if excessive recording like this would hurt the camcorder's lenses in any way. Thank you!

A. Not a tv won't hurt the cam corder..however.. a microwave would...stay away from those things.
but there are cords and a program that you can purchase to hook your game system up straight to your computer and you can edit it together. the cam corder will make all the colors off and you'll see a lot of extra lines. Plus there will be a lot of shaking obviously.

Canon camcorders which can take lenses from still cameras?
Q. I am looking for a camcorder which can take lenses from a digital still camera, like a EF lenses of Canon. Any ideas?

A. I've never heard of one, and I'd be surprised if one exists. Camcorder chips are generally smaller than DSLR's so you'd be losing a lot of light.
