Question about the Sanyo Xacti waterproof camcorder?

Q. Is this a good camcorder? And it works well when not doing underwater pics and video right?

A. Well it is a medium quality camcorder for that price which gives you a feature to take pictures and record videos under the water. If you are going to use it also outside then I suggest you take a look at the Panasonic SDR-SW20 waterproof camcorder, it is definitely better.

A. Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 is a good compact camcorder.Easy to use,good video quality for outdoor but indoor isn't great.

What kind of digital camcorder should I get for Christmas?

Q. I want a camcorder that has good quality in taking video and also takes pictures.I had the Sanyo Xacti CG10 in mind, but I wanted to know if there are any better ones out there. Thank you for your help.

What are the best settings for Sanyo xacti TH1 for indoor use?

Q. I recently bought a Sanyo Xacti TH1 and its indoor recording with low light leaves much to be desired.

Can anyone suggest a combination of settings which would help the image come out clearer.

I have tried altering the ISO and filters and have had only limited success.

A. Small lens and small imaging chip = poor low light behavior.

Just because you can see in dim light does not make the lighting "good enough" for the camcorder to see well.

The best "setting" will be to add more light. Inexpensive worklights on a tripod available at the hardware store are one way to do that.

What is the best pocket camcorder for under £175?

Q. Could anyone tell me what they think the best pocket camcorder for around £150 is. I quite like the idea of a pistol grip one. At the minute I am thinking of a sanyo xacti cg10. Any recommendations. Thanks.

A. i can tell you exactly what NOT to get, avoid any chinese brand ones, they make massive amounts of cheap tiny pocket video cameras that run on AA battery (which they suck dry in minutes).
definatly get a brand one like sony, panasonic, jvc, hitachi, etc...

Why won't my videos i've imported onto my computer import into windows movie maker?

Q. Ok, so I have the Sanyo Xacti WH1 camcorder, and I take the SD card out of it, and import all of the videos from it to my computer. Then, I try to play it, and it won't work. So then, I try to put it into Windows Movie Maker, and it's not in the videos in my computer, nor the pictures. And that's a big problem for me, because I just got this camera for Christmas and I'm planning on making Youtube videos. Please help me !!!!!!

A. sanyo video is in .mov format, however wmm only supports video in wmv, avi, asf, mpg.
search "sanyo video to windows movie maker" to fix the problem.

Using a HD 720p camcorder, What size SD card should I buy?

Q. Using a HD 720p camcorder, What size SD card should I buy?

I am thinking of buying a Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1 High Definition camcorder and I dont know what size SD card to buy...

I want to record about 2 hours in 720p so which size should I get?
Is there any rough kind of guide to follow?

A. the camera specs appear to indicated that it is designed for 16 GB memory cards. the battery is good for 200 minutes, and 16 GB is 230 minutes of HD video. However if you plan on using the still photo capability of the camera, that will reduce the minutes of available video. An 8 GB card will be just short of 2 hours of HD video.

Q. So I have this camcorder (Sanyo Xacti HD2000) I want to list on ebay.
It's faulty but will only cost £30 to fix.
It comes with the original boxing, a wide angle lens, a video mic set and an extra case for it.
How much do you think I should sell it for on ebay?

A. The Sanyo Xacti HD2000 sells new for about $400.00 (302.609 EUR) here in the US. Most people will not buy a camcorder or other type of device like a camera if it doesn't work properly unless they want it for parts. You are best to have it fixed and then sell it and hopefully recoup your costs and maybe get a little more. Expect to get about 50% of the cost of a new one.
