Best camcorder to use for posting online racing clips?

Q. Im looking to purchase my first camcorder, nothing spectacular. But would like a camcorder under $300 that I can mount in my car for at the track to tape my races, and a camcorder which can transfer the videos onto my computer so I can post the videos online (something with decent quality so you can see all of the racing action). Am I looking for a minidv camcorder? I dont know much about them! Any help is appreciated thanks!

A. You'll want a dv (mini dv) camcorder, which has near high def picture quality. I have a mini dv sony handcam, but they go for 600+. I'd recommend the JVC GR-D250 for you. It is a good quality camera, dv, has a swivel pull-out color lcd and will keep you under $300 like you want.

P.S. You can easily and automatically pull the movie off the camera digitally with a firewire card. Before you go out and buy one, make sure you don't have one. I bought a card, installed it and then realized both my desktop and laptop had them integrated already...

What is a good brand of camcorder?
Q. I want a moderately priced camcorder (Under $300)

A. Canon ZR900, ZR930 miniDV tape...
