what wil a macro wide angle hd lens do for my pv gs120 camcorder?

Q. i was thinking of buying a .42x HD Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens for my panasonic pv gs120 camcorder i was wondering what kind of effect the resulting footage would have. does this mean my footage wil look like hd? will it be distorted? and if i buy such a lens will a Pro Digital Hard Lens Hood be necessary?

A. It certainly won't be HD, if anything the quality will be worse. How much worse will depend on the quality of the lens. Good glass is expensive, and most of the products described as ".42x HD Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens" are cheap and nasty!

What kind of camcorder should I get for Snowboarding?
Q. I need a new camcorder for my snowboarding movies. The camcorder has to have 60 frames per second at 720p and a wide angle lens
optional: image stabilization, and zoom
oh yeah and I don't want a helmet cam

A. Use a go pro. It was developed specifically for uses like: BMX and Snowboarding. Will run you about $299 for the helmet model with waterproof case. They also have many other models since you DONT want a helmet cam.

From all of the models descriptions:
"1080p, 960p, and 720p in 30 and 60 fps (720p). The HD HERO offers three different HD resolutions, giving you three filming modes to capture the best angles for any given activity:

1080p: 1920×1080 True HD featuring a 127º angle of view, 30 fps, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio
960p: 1280×960 Ultra Wide and Tall HD featuring a 170º angle of view, 30 fps, and 4:3 aspect ratio. See more of the action above and below than widescreen16:9 resolutions can show.
720p: 1280×720 Ultra Wide HD featuring a 170º angle of view, both 30 and 60 fps, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio"
