What camera should I use for filming my skateboarding tricks?

Q. I'm very good at skateboarding and I want to buy a good camera to film my skateboarding so I can make a video. What camera should I get? I want one that will film very good and it has to be cheap. I want my videos to look like pro. What are the best Mega Pixel to use?

A. Well, that is always the worst struggle in buying cameras: Price vs. Quality. Megapixel usually refers to picture cameras not camcorders, but speaking of picture quality, you may or may not want to look into an hd camera. Even though some cameras do say hd it doesn't really mean much. For me I use a sony vx1000 which is not HD but it is very very common in the skateboarding industry. It is 3ccd, which provides great picture, on top of the already beautiful colors it is capable of achieving. They will be probably over 500 dollars, but they are only getting cheaper as the HD age is taking over. Making your videos look like the pro videos will require you to buy a panasonic hvx along with a "death" fisheye lens which will put you back 6 grand or so. I would simply start out with something like a Panasonic SDR-H80K and get a fisheye for it. Good luck bro!

What camcorder would you recommend for skateboarding?
Q. I need a camcorder that runs for about a hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars. I cant seem to find too many that do well in low lighting. Any brand will obviously do!

A. Seriously, if youre talking in that price range, just pick pretty much any miniDV camera out there. All of them are pretty much the same in that price range. None of them are gonna have good low light, because they have tiny (1/6 inch usually) chips, and bigger ones are more expensive. So just grab one that feels good in your hand, has good optical zoom and look for some manual features (if any exist), and youll be fine. Hope this helps!
