How do I transfer my internal memory on my camcorder, to the inserted SD card?

Q. The camcorder is a JVC model GZ-MG20U. If anyone could help me, it'd be greatly appreciated.

A. Check the user's manual from the JVC website:

Is it legal to have a camcorder running in my car to record my travels? I am in Massachusetts?
Q. I bought a new HD camcorder and windshield mount. I want to have it mounted and running while driving but do not know if it is legal. I bet it is but it's Massachusetts and everything here makes no sense so I figured I would ask.

A. If you REALLY want to know, contact your local or state Law Enforcement.

It is likely legal - but what may not be legal is how you mount the camcorder - If windshield mounted, that could block the driver's vision - and THAT would not be legal. It is not that there is a camcorder blocking the view, but that there is *something* in the windshield area that impedes the driver's vision.

Mount the camera in a different place so it is not impeded the driver's vision (by using a head-rest mount or something similar) and you should be good to go.

This question is up there with "Should talking on a cell phone be illegal?" My opinion is that if the driver is distracted, then THAT is illegal. Whether that distraction is from a cell phone, texting, shaving, reading a book or applying makeup or whatever is the issue - just because the distraction is from a cell phone does not make it a "different" distraction... It is a distraction and the driver cannot be distracted when driving the vehicle.

In your case, the camcorder is not the illegal part - that it (or a GPS or cell-phone mount or whatever) is mounted to the windshield and in the driver's line of site to the outside through the windshield is what *should* be illegal... If the camera is small enough to fit between the rear-view mirror and the windshield so as to not block the driver's field of vision out the front windshield, then you should be good to go.
