Best settings for recording an indoor concert on a Kodak Zi8?

Q. I have a Kodak Zi8. I will be recording an indoor rock concert at a theater. What would be the best recommended settings? 1080P or 720P/60FPS? Also should I turn the recording mic all the way up or down or keep it in the middle. I want to get the best sound possible.
Like should I turn the audio gain up or down? I have it down curently, I'm wanting to eliminate the static noise.

A. Does your camcorder have a Mic Port? If so, bribe the boys and girls operating the mixer for a feed out. Bring every connector known to mankind and cables to match so you can hook that to the Mic port.

No Mic port, leave the camcorder at home. You will get very little of the band and the singing, but the cheering and clapping of the 400 or so of the people around you and closest to you first, the band(s) audio last.

Take a digital audio recorder with your and then bribe the mixer operators for that feed out. Same goes for connectors and cables. Then mix video and audio in your NLE software.

Is the GoPro a good camera for budget films?
Q. I've been looking into gopros and i have a few questions.
Is the Hero 2 or Hero 3 better? and is the Hero 3 Black edition worth it or is the white version he same other than the 1080p at 60fps vs 1080p at 30fps.

Some personal feedback would be nice, especially on the topic on whether this is a good camera for a budget film or would getting a camcorder be better.

A. the go pro camera model is used mostly for action and first person shots and is not very ideal for shooting independent films due to the fisheye lens that bends the picture. my advice for a cheaper and higher quality camera for filming would be the pentax k-x. It is an SLR camera meant for photography but shoots extremely high quality video in digital format. hope this helps.
