What is the best camcorder to buy to make youtube videos?

Q. I want to record 1080p high definition youtube videos, but every camcorder i find that looks good has horrible reviews and its driving me crazy. I just need a high definition camera thats good for making youtube videos.

A. If your just starting out, I would recommend something like a flip camera, you should practice with a cheaper camera before you move onto 1080p (Video Cameras like that's prices usually start around 300 dollars) Then again having said that, here are some links to some nice, affordable, 1080p Cameras

How do I get my video from the camcorder to the PC?
Q. I have a Panasonic camcorder. The still shots go onto the picture card and the video goes onto the tape. When I plug it into my PC with the USB cable, it will only get what's off the card, not the tape. The camera has a DV port, is a DV cable what I would need to get the video from the tape to the PC?

A. Yep...you need a IEEE-1394 interface (FireWire) cable and your PC will need a FireWire port (not all do). The FireWire cards are cheap and easy to install. You can use free software like Windows Movie Maker to capture the video from the cam to your PC.
