Q. I am a high school student and I recently started a Film Club at my high school, but we do not have any dv camcorders or tripods. We are basically starting off from scratch. It is difficult to raise money to purchase video equipment for our club. Can anyone help us? Are there any special organization or companies that can help us obtain dv camcorders and tripods?
A. try writing a letter to your local electronic stores for help. a nicely worded request with your goals to Best Buy might just get you started. they often have equipment that has been returned and can no longer be sold as new, or old models that need to make room for the latest. Your local newspaper may also be willing to help if you write a press release about your new club and your goals.
